Three shows and a movie

So I finally got around to watching my Monday night shows, and some thoughts:

TBBT 2x21

That was rather adorable I must say (as if pretty common for this show). I'm sure Penny/Sheldon shippers are very happy, and I have to admit it sure looks like this is the writers' moving in that direction. But it's not really to point of convincing me the characters would move in that direction.

I think my favorite moment might actually have been Sheldon's glee over getting to eat the ultimate in non group friendly food. Of course I always like the reminders that Raj hates Indian food, that always amuses me.

HIMYM 4x21

That was hysterical. As soon as we learned Barney and Marshall were behind the texting I'm not sure I stopped laughing. There wasn't a huge amount of arc material here particularly surprising since it's almost the season finale, but I loved it.

As awesome as the bulk of the episode was, the one bit of possible arc stuff that I liked at the end was Ted getting to be on the receiving end of relationship-crazy for a bit. Not that I didn't also like his point about not changing his views on love and wanting to find someone who loved him for it, but I also like him having a chance to see that crazy from the outside.

Heroes 3x25

(wibble) What the hell was that?!

No no no, you can't kill Nathan and let frakking...you know fake cuss words aren't enough FUCKING SYLAR live. That's just wrong I hate that guy SO MUCH and he MUST DIE. It's making me use CAPSLOCK.

I'm devastated enough Nathan died and no one even get's to really grieve for him because most people don't even know (poor Peter and Claire when they eventually find out). And yet the frakking bastard who killed him gets to keep living like the damnable cockroach that he is.

It also makes the Sylar/Claire scene *even creepier* to think about since he then proceeded to turn into her bio dad (of course I'd probably be willing to ship Claire/Nathan before Claire/Sylar because of how much I HATE SYLAR and love Claire). I pray for the day Claire gets to kill he bastard as much as I feel sorry for her when she finds out the truth about SyNathan.

All of that said, I do understand the practical reasons they made Sylar take on Nathan's identity, since they needed the situation to be cleaned up and for not to spark of a crusade against people with abilities (although I think maybe they could have let Peter handle it). Emotionally I think this should really screw Angela up, but then she's already pretty messed up.

Awww, Hiro. I used to love you, and then you got pretty annoying, but I liked you here at least. What he did actually made sense. Also he saved Noah, which will pretty much always endear someone to me. I'm curious where they'll go with Hiro's story from here, but I liked this bit.

Also went and saw 'State of Play' today so: State of Play

I've only had the chance to watch about half the mini-series, and that was a while back (I'm not sure why I never finished it so don't ask) but I liked the movie. I was a little distracted in places trying to remember things from what I have seen of the mini, but the movie was well done.

I did miss playing British Actor Bingo, but there were plenty of big names in this too. And definitely worth seeing.
