So this meme is making it's way around my friends list and I thought I'd join in.

a. Post a list of 10 TV shows you love (current or canceled);
b. Have your friends list guess your favorite character from each show;
c. When guessed bold the line and write a little bit about why you like that character;
d. Post in your own livejournal.


1. Babylon 5

2. Battlestar Galactica
Laura Roslin: Laura is such an awesome character and changed so much over the course of the series. There are very few things she does that I ever fully disagree with because I do think she always tries to do what is best.

3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Giles: Pretty much since the first episode I saw, Giles was the most interesting character to me and I started watching late in the show really. Then as I saw more (backwards and forwards) Giles remained the character I loved the most. Yes he's sexy and British, he's also awesome and smart and all kind of good stuff. You could blame my Buffy/Giles shipping on my love for Giles and you wouldn't be wrong, but that's another discussion.

4. Doctor Who
The Doctor: the modern-Doctor is just about the most fascinating character in television, one of the best of all time. He's just so...fantastic. I want to hug him and smack him and then send him off to go live happily ever after with Rose (who is easily my second favorite character on the show).

5. Farscape
Aeryn: Aeryn is awesome, she just is.

6. Heroes
Noah Bennet: I find the man with many things to call him the most captivating character on the show. I've loved his character development, and his relationship with Claire and his moral grey-ness and his many many acts of bad-assery. Yay Noah.

7. Red Dwarf

8. Smallville
Chloe: The spunky blond reporter girl is about the only fond thought I have left for Smallville. Yes the Luthors are fun and engaging, but Chloe is my favorite.

9. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

10. Torchwood
Jack: Was there really any doubt of this? I keep watching the show in it's crack addled glory for Jack who is a) pretty and b) interesting. Except for the fact that I wish Jack would go back to Doctor Who I really enjoy watching him here.

Yes, so far you've guessed...Kara, Lee, Adama, Boomer, Cain, Boxey, Baltar, and Tigh. You know if it weren't for calling them Kara and Lee rather than Starbuck and Apollo I'd guess you were working off the classic series list which I can't say I've ever seen.

1. I'm going to make a completely wild guess and say Londo Mollari, because he's a big fan favorite.

2. Roslin. Because she is made of awesome, although sometimes very wrong.

9. Um. Not Dax, so...maybe Bashir? He's kind of like the Doctor in some ways(and as a complete aside, I would love to see Alexander Siddig play the Doctor).

Wrong on both counts (although Delenn is certainly one of my favorites...I have a lot of B5 favorites). And yes it is good to fins other B5 watchers, it's still such an awesome show.
