Alright, I was holding off doing another motivator post until after Family of Blood aired (at least we'll pretend that was the driving reason) because this series was made in my initial flailing over Dark-Doctor and I think it still needs repeating.
I don't know that I'm scared of him, but I'm sure scared *for* him. No it's not an evil face, it's the face of a man with nothing left to lose and nothing to gain. He's dead inside, hollowed out, and he has no one's hand to hold.
Reunion Hugs are the least of the things he needs, but it would be a damn fine place to start.

I agree; reunion hugs would be a good catalyst for the healing that needs to happen before he can be anything like whole again; I don't know about you, but the Doctor we've seen in Season 3 is beyond even the darkness and internal pain of Nine, and Nine was coming straight off the back of the Time War! Seems to me that Ten is suffering from a mighty case of PTSD and losing Rose has done nothing but aggravate that.
The thing is, that's not an evil face.
Those eyes aren't the eyes of someone evil, they're the eyes of someone in vast amounts of emotional pain.
That sentence from Fear Her is seriously illuminating, given what we've seen in Season 3; I'm not scared of this Doctor, I pity him.
Reunion Hugs is what this man needs.
