BSG 4x19
I actually watched BSG last night but I didn't feel like posting about it then but here are some thoughts on it:
Reaction
-I suddenly wish we'd been getting the flashbacks for ages. Didn't know what I was missing until now (although there have been some obviously). I liked...pretty much all of them, but there's so many more I'm sure we *could* have had that I feel almost cheated.
-Aww, Tyrol is sad, but I wish we'd actually seen how he was found out/turned himself in for helping Boomer.
-I was hoping Bill would start taking all the pictures off the Wall of Remembrance, because someone always has to remember, but I guess we'll have to wait for Laura to do it, that is more her thing anyway. If no one does I'm going to be pissed.
-FINALLY we get some Bill-Kara honest interaction. I've pretty much been missing that for YEARS now.
-Also ZAK. I'm not sure why but I was really glad Zak got to put in another appearance before the end.
-I'm still having irrational love moments for Hoshi, I didn't notice which side he ended up on, maybe I should recheck.
-In some way's I'm interested to see what they're going to do with Helo and Athena, because they're in a really messy place right now. On the other hand they're being kind of boring about it.
-A lot of the staging of the big choosing scene made me happy. Starting with Bill in front with Lee and Kara flanking him, and then how Bill took Laura right up to stand with the family section (though as much as I like the Adama/Roslin music, it was a little intrusive) and Kara being the one to support her was just...right.
(Probably wrong) Predictions or Hopes
-I do think Gaius will end up going, otherwise we won't have all the main cast going on the mission. They managed to get Laura into it.
-Sam's pretty much a goner. I mean sure he's more or less gone already, but for obvious reasons Sam's on my list of people going down with the ship.
-I think the opera house dream, the watchtower music, the harbinger of death thing, as well as Sam's hybrid-esque babbling about stuff like the resting place of Kara Thrace (that was it right?) are all going to come into play. Or maybe I'm just hoping the prophesy stuff will make some kind of sense. But please not to be killing Starbuck again (unless it's a kill them all type ending then I suppose it'll be...forgivable for specific values of "acceptable").
-FOR THE LOVE OF THE GODS SOMEBODY FIND OUT THAT TORY KILLED CALLY. Not that there will really be time for it I'm sure, but if that isn't dealt with I'm going to be royally pissed. I've been waiting for the shoe to drop since the day it happened (which for us was like a year ago).
-I feel like the flashbacks aren't over. Some of the flashback scenes, like Lee with the bird, were just kind of random if it was only going to be fore the one episode. Maybe not as many in the finale, but I think there will be some.
-I wouldn't be surprised, and would be VERY happy, if they managed to have some dead characters show up in some way in the finale. I just want to see Billy, Felix, Dee, Kat, Cally, etc. again.
-Oh and if you can continue to keep Leoban off my screen I can continue to avoid throwing things at it in response to him.
I probably had more to say on both fronts but it's not coming to mind right now.
