That statement really bugs me, and it kind of bugs me most since they're pushing this Elijah/Hayley thing. As a 'thing' I may not like it but I don't hate it; as a THING, where Elijah loves so rarely but he's falling in love with her I will end up hating it badly. Admittedly there's a part of me that takes this as proof that they won't push Elijah/Katherine as a love story and that makes me happy because I have issues with that idea even before trying to make it a once in a blue moon love story. Until proven otherwise I'm still assuming it's Tatia though I'm not sure that's what I actually want the show to commit to since it would also try and make y ship creepy through it even though clearly his relationship with Elena is a rather different animal (hell, NOW his one with Katherine is too even if I do think that in 1492 he was pretty much still thinking about Tatia). But what it implies for how they view Elijah/Hayley bugs me a TON.
And yeah, obviously the real problem is on the writing level but I throws stones on the Watsonian level first a lot of the time. So I resort to 'lying out of his ass' as an explanation. It also bugs me on a level that resents this show turning him into the 'good brother' and therefore mostly chaste and pure I guess which just doesn't fit for me.
Also yeah, I want Davina back. I didn't think they'd actually kill her off so on a small level I kind of respect the show for actually going there (it so rarely does anymore), but Davina deserved better. Maybe at some point I'll write that AU where Elijah goes to ask Elena to help him talk things through with Davina, because it was what I wanted.
Oh, I want to continue TFALID, but the show is so very uninspiring right now and B5 is so much more enjoyable to rewatch than trying to get myself back into the proper mindset for more of that AU. I hope the muses come back soon, because I definitely do think about it still. I am always glad to hear that it cheers you up though.
