Re: cliffs notes

I do appreciate knowing someone is getting some enjoyment out of my posts. I often feel like a bit of a fandom island, even if I don't want to actually seek out most of this fandom, it's complicated like that. But hey nice to see you.

I do enjoy TO quite a bit (TVD a fair bit less so but I keep watching, just not always promptly) but I enjoy kind of stupid TV. I loved DW's seriousness but I also loved it at it's most ridiculous (as long as it was RTD-Who that is), I had a fairly lengthy love affair with BBC's Robin Hood with is just about the dumbest thing ever and yet I adore it. And then of course there's this universe, which I often compare to RH because of how dumb they both are...except that while RH never recovered from it's biggest stumble of a choice it did continue to appeal to me, while TVD has never recovered in my estimation and it's had longer (also longer to make worse decisions since then). So yeah, I'm used to enjoying things even if I objectively know they are flawed and kind of dumb; I can still love them, and if that attitude makes my reactions appealing to you then I'm glad.

For the record, and as I've said several times in my TVD posts. It's better this year. In that I am not coming out of episodes fuming with hatred for what I'm watching. But a part of me almost misses the passion with which I hated it last year; it's better than it was, I just don't care any more. My passion regarding TO is sliding a little bit with the hiatus too, and just now that the initial rush of getting regular Elijah has worn off. Still more invested than TVD for now.
