I have always felt like RTD knew in his heart that JE didn't work, so I get more mad at him for trying to force the story into a box that he knew wasn't right. Except on the other hand I kind of feel like he threw up his hands too soon and stopped trying. Either way he basically spent the specials apologizing for it (when he wasn't having Ten misstate what happened with his "they always leave me" idea that completely misrepresents what happened).

I'm a little surprised this episode would be the one that would make someone a shipper if thy aren't already but, not a lot surprised. They are very well written and acted here for it to be appealing.
