I just didn't want to be too presumptive about whether TXF fandom coined the term. I'm pretty sure the term slash came from old school Star Trek fandom but the term shipping didn't seem to come into play until the 90s and I seem to recall hearing it started with TXF but I'm not sure of that.

But yeah TXF was definitely one of the shows that helped build internet fandom (as far as I know). Although I was more on the B5 end of things myself.
