And exactly! There's just something about Jack and Daniel's characters both--neither of them are the sorts of people to "fall in love" (or as the case usually is: lust) with people at the drop of a hat. Even when they give Sam random suitors, SHE doesn't fall for them straight on, but in this case I think it's one of the rare cases of a TV show being sexist against men by saying that, apparently, neither Jack nor Daniel has the ability to say "no", ever, even if this was originally their inclination and intention.
It really doesn't make any sense of all and is kind of cringe-worthy.
