Okay so it’s been a while but I can still find something to say about this I’m sure. It all started with goldy_dollar’s ‘Last of the Time Lords’ recap where she observed that the Master totally ships Doctor/Rose and probably writes fanfic on the subject. I don’t remember if she was the first I encountered to observe that, but I certainly credit her with the inspiration for this.

(No Lucy I will not call it fanfic)

I don’t know if I actually think Lucy would know about or write/read fanfic, but I needed to use the actual term somewhere and it worked here, but of course the Master is defensive about it and maintains it’s NOT fanfic, no sir-y,

-Lucy and I have dinner with the Doctor and Rose

Shout out to the Doctor/Rose and Master/Lucy dinner party stories.

Pros: Not out of character for the Doctor to ask me out on a date, chance to show that I am always smarter than him. Could take place in *my* TARDIS so I could rub that in his face too.

Of course his reasons for wanting to have them around for dinner are different than mine. He wants to show off and show up the Doctor, possibly impress Rose with his awesomeness, and also it betrays a secret desire to rekindle their friendship.

Cons: I believe it is not in character for Rose to call me Master, but that is my name.

There really aren’t a lot of cons to dinner party fic, but you know Rose would not quite keep a straight face while calling him “the Master” and he knows it too.

-Lucy and Rose shove Martha Jones off a cliff

Shout out to the Martha-gets-shoved-off-a-cliff stories which I confess particularly at the time I had no real issue with.

Pros: Shoving Martha off a cliff, probably many cliffs wherever she is.

The Master is totally practical about his wish that Martha would fall off a cliff, she is a nuisance to him...

Possible girl on girl action after shoving is complete. Idea of Lucy shoving someone off cliff is hot (should use in real life).

...or he just thinks it would be hot for his wife and imaginary girlfriend to engage in murder. And then have sex with each other because it’s just logical when you’re an evil mastermind writing not-fanfic.

Cons: By rights, Lucy should also shove Rose off a cliff as she is more dangerous than Martha, this would negate desired girl on girl action in this story. Also would have to justify Rose’s presence.

I guess the Master didn’t want to write PWP, or at least couldn’t do it without some practical story considerations, like the fact that Rose is a total badass and way more of a threat than Martha to his evil overlord plans.

-Journal of Doctor’s emo since loss of Rose
Pros: Chance to mock Doctor for nearly crying whenever I ask about Rose for characterization purposes.

See, the Master wasn’t just bringing up Rose with the Doctor to torment him, it was for characterization purposes.

Cons: He’d probably accuse me of finding his actual diary of emo since loss of Rose.

Time Lords are masters at hiding things (under pillows) but not so good at finding them, the Master never actually *found* the Doctor’s emo diary, but he’s pretty sure it exists, as we all are.

Would have to find good thesaurus entry for “sad.”

-Alternate reality story where I met Rose first
Pros: Wish Rose had been my companion (Lucy is great, but she couldn’t absorb the Time Vortex). Alternate reality Doctor would never have known her and would be even more pathetic now.

True though that is, I don’t know how he knows about it, maybe Jack told him that bit of characterization.

Words “alternate reality’ and “Rose” when used together annoy Doctor.

Annoy is a mild word for it, those two phrases together really get to the Doctor, so much that even though he’s trying not to clue the Master in on how much he can still get “annoy” from it.

Cons: Could make me envious of my own alternate reality.

-After destroying this world, cross to other universe and make Rose like Lucy for that universe

My own single Master/Rose fic idea takes place with him escaping the Doctor into Pete’s World and meeting up with Rose and basically she fills the Lucy role for a while. Too mind-wammied to pick up on the fact that he’s a Time Lord until...stuff happens and she breaks his spell over her and then she’s really not someone he’d want to encounter again. And that’s before the Doctor shows up and finds out about what’s been going on; and really, destroying the world, he could forgive that, but messing with Rose, that’s gonna set off the Oncoming Storm.

Is this relevant to this fic? Not really, but there you have it.

Pros: Easy to invent fictional reason why I could cross universes. Quite like fantasy of turning the Doctor’s love into my own, and I get second hot blond wife, and second universe to control. Would include scene where the Doctor dies of broken heart (could even force him to watch us have sex in story).

This sort of ties into my theory that the Master will do anything to get at the Doctor but won’t actually directly hurt him. Even in his fic world he’d set up the Doctor to die of a broken heart and/or force him to watch Master/Rose sex, but the idea of out and out killing him doesn’t enter into it.

Cons: Again, am somewhat envious of my own invented future. Also, Doctor dying of broken heart is most in character but would prevent him from seeing rest of what happens in the story.

Yep, he wants the Doctor to see the depth of his failure/the Master’s triumph before he dies, and even then there’s no outright plan to kill even fic-Doctor.

-Doctor/Rose reunion story
Pros: Good for taunting Doctor with as will never happen. Probable cuteness of story good for days when just ruling the world; having hot wife; having Doctor as pet, Jack to torture/kill, and Jones family to torment is not enough to make me smile.

Most of the Master’s fic ideas aren’t very fluffy, but it would at least cross his mind to write fluffy reunion fic. If he decided to expand it into a plot it would probably involve him succeeding at taking over the universe, but simple fluff for the sake of fluff has its place too.

Cons: Am somehow sad that it will never happen even if probable cute levels should be called sickening.

He knows he *should not* like this kind of story, being a universe conquering maniac and all, but even he can’t resist the power of Doctor/Rose cute.

Might give Doctor ideas about crossing universes.

-Doctor/Rose/Jack sex story
Pros: Have promised to Jack in exchange for his help on editing and characterization.

This goes back to the original discussion prompting this fic, that Jack would be the Master’s beta-reader. Since this wasn’t a full fledged fic about the Master writing fic but a collection of his brainstorming, I had to work a little to get that concept in here.

He says the group of them never did have sex, but I know he wanted to, so can also bother him with ideas that never happened.
Cons: Breaking promises to Jack is also fun (and he was not complimentary of my me/Rose stories).

Jack knows Rose would kick the Master’s ass and has made sure the Master knows that. The Master doesn’t like that since he’d rather write Master/Rose stories and have them be in character. He of course blames Jack for that, he’s very kill the messenger about that.

Would feel urge to de-age Doctor and retrieve Rose in order to confirm hotness of sex scene.

The Master is a Doctor/Rose shipper, not a OT3 shipper, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think it would be hot.


So the commentary was about twice as long as the fic, but sometimes cracky semi-fic needs a lot of explanation I guess.
