Re: Susan's grandmother/the mother of the Doctor's kids: I always imaged it was very affectionate, but before the "new" Doctor Who (aka Nine-now) I could never see the Doctor has being sexual. There was flirting and even some ust in the series of the 70s-80s, but it never went "there", not as the new series has.
I also think Rose is "the one", if only because of the way the actors, writers, etc talk about Rose's relationship with the Doctor. I would love to see more of Rose/Ten II, but who knows if that will ever happen. I would be super happy if future Doctors went back for help from Ten II and Rose.
I agree, in time (maybe a series or so) I could see him falling for someone again. But, he's just lost Rose (again, and this time to himself) and he also lost his best friend, Donna. The guy needs some time to get his head straight. I'd actually love for his next companion to be someone broken, who he can help fix; in much the same way Rose fixed him when they first meet.
